Pompeii seems to have a reputation as a “city of sin”. While it was something of a party town, it was no different to other Ancient Roman settlements of the time, though there is a lot of erotic art and graffiti for us to puzzle over. Erotica in Pompeii seems to be relatively new, and most of the works I found are self-published ebooks, most closer to novella or short story in length. A couple have been delisted but most are still available.
The line between romance and erotica isn’t always clear, but I have included any works which appear to contain explicit scenes. In some cases, the title gives it away!
