- This book has been kindly digitised by Duke University Libraries, North Carolina at my request and they have uploaded it to Archive.org! I thought this title was lost (pardon the pun) but it is housed in three libraries in the US.
Peace Island Series
Peace Island Series was a series of books for children, each containing a selection of adventurous short stories and all seemingly published in 1883 by D. Lothrop and Company. Confusingly, each volume has an identical cover simply reading “Peace Island Series”, with the actual title appearing on the spine. (I realised my mistake only after purchasing a copy of the wrong volume!)
